NIAIC - GB Theory Test Update

Several members of associations involved with NIAIC have raised an issue with test candidates who hold a GB provisional licence and theory test pass certificate.

Theory tests in Great Britain with the DVSA have not been part of the theory test extension that NI provisional licence holders have received.

If you have a candidate who has a GB provisional licence/theory pass, please make sure that they have completed a residency document for Northern Ireland (click here for the form).

If there is an urgency to the completion and submission of the form, please contact the Business Support Unit at DVA (ADIOnlineCorrespondence@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk) to highlight the application and they will follow it up as a priority to allow the candidate to book.

The Northern Ireland Approved Instructor Council (NIAIC) is the stakeholder group for the driver training industry in Northern Ireland. NIAIC is comprised of various instructor associations throughout the country and is independent from any particular association. Details of all associations involved in the council can be found at https://www.niaic.com/team
